1. Promoting volunteerism

3. Building capacity of voluntary organizations through training and consultation services
4. Providing leadership on issues relating to volunteerism
We also promote and celebrate National Volunteer Week each April; recognize outstanding youth volunteers through the "Leaders of Tomorrow" program; and promote corporate employee volunteerism through "Project Paintbrush" which paints the outside of seniors and special needs clients homes and fences with corporate sponsorship and employee volunteers.
